In a world where the tumult of recent years has exposed a deep fault line running from our local community to our national sense of wellbeing and global connectivity, how does philanthropy decide on its priorities? Who receives that philanthropic support? And for what purpose? How does philanthropy best support and nurture, people, place and planet?
These are the profound questions at the heart of philanthropy’s quest for a modern application of its age-old purpose – for the love of humanity. At this year’s Philanthropy Australia conference, we bring together philanthropists, sector leaders, academics, and international experts to help us become more connected, better informed and truly inspired for the next stage of philanthropy’s embrace of humanity, facing new and unique challenges.
Philanthropy Australia acknowledges the Australian Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples as the first inhabitants of the nation and the Traditional Custodians of the lands where we live, learn and work. We pay our respects to Elders past, present and future.

Conference Scholarships
A handful of generous Philanthropy Australia members and partners choose to ‘pay it forward’ by covering the cost of the conference registration for leaders of small not-for-profit organisations that would otherwise be unable to attend. You may register your interest for a conference scholarship but it does not guarantee attendance as the offer depends on the availability of the scholarships and the interest areas they support. Apply here.
